Our Commitments

In the church world, our commitments go by a number of labels: Just Peace, Open and Affirming, Immigrant Welcoming, Creation Caring and Anti-Racist. What do those mean? We hope it will be obvious in our actions even to those who aren’t familiar with those labels: We commit ourselves to justice and equity for people and planet alike.

Our Connections

Our spiritual community is a part of the United Church of Christ, a Christian denomination with varied theological roots and diverse contemporary expression that tries to boldly answer the Spirit’s call to be a “united and uniting” church across differences. UCC churches are not united by the conformity of our religious or political convictions or by the sameness of our worship. What binds us together are the promises we make to keep listening and speaking to one another as we “together follow Jesus on the way of radical love.” We believe God is still speaking and inviting us to participate in a just world for all.
