Rev Christina Kukuk
Rev. Christina G. Kukuk was born and raised in the Buckeye state of Ohio. A convert to the United Church of Christ, since her ordination in 2005, she has served congregations in Minnesota, Ohio and now Oregon. Prior to arriving in Ashland, she ventured into “Spiritual R&D” as the Gathering Pastor for a new faith community on the East Side of Cleveland.
A newspaper and magazine journalist in her first career, she edited Common Lot, the magazine for UCC women, in 2014, and continues writing and editing. Recent work has appeared in Belt Magazine, Bearings Online, GEEZ magazine and The Christian Century, and in her book Loving What Doesn’t Last: An Adoration of the Body, published October 2021 by Morehouse Publishing. Rev. Christina Kukuk can also be found on her author web site ChristinaKukuk.com. She tweets @theRevCK.
Christina gets her dry humor from a long line of German ancestors and her love of pie, unfortunately, from both sides. She enjoys green things, outdoor activities, and really nice fiber.
Christina is married to Adam, a musician, singer, and group musical instigator. Together they parent two children and struggle to enforce the family rule: “no singing or performing at the table.”
