Our talented staff invest their skills and experience to support our congregation’s ministries. Have a question or a need? These caring and compassionate folks are here to help.
Rev. Dr. Fred Grewe
Casey is a recent Ashland transplant who came to the town for a short visit but quickly made the decision to move to Ashland, as she fell in love with the community. Casey received her B.A. in Economics from The University of California, Santa Cruz in 2011. Since then, she has held various Office Administration positions in California, Hawaii, and Mexico. Casey has a loving partner named Zachary, and together they share a sweet Tabby cat named Dinah. Casey enjoys writing poetry, cooking, dancing, and loves to be outdoors.
Wendy Wysong Leighton
Pre-covid Wendy Wysong Leighton was our regular front door greeter, longtime volunteer for Parish Life, and vacation backup for Tege. Wendy is honored to bring her welcoming skills to the office as a part time assistant.
“Karl is a wonderfully talented musician with the right spirit and attitude to lead our congregation in worship.” Karl is very experienced in local theater, conducting choirs and orchestras, and comes highly recommended by local musicians and directors. He is a graduate of SOU and served as our Music Director some years’ ago.
Children & Youth Assistant
Nancy has taught high school theatre and art for many years in Tacoma, Washington and Tucson, Arizona. She went on to teach art to adults in New Zealand, Costa Rica, Chautauqua, New York and in Ashland.
She is most happy on walks with her dog Sassy and husband, Mike Wilkinson. Sassy was the model for the two children’s books Nancy illustrated.
She is excited to work with the children and families at this church. Puppet plays, art and stories will be shared and created.
Don & Teri Wilson
Teri and Don have been a part of UCC Ashland since before 2007. Their career paths, and family parenting skills, converge as assets in their work here as Sextons since late 2018. They keep the facility sparkling with their organizational and handy skills. Married for forty-three years, they’ve raised five children, run an in-home childcare business and served as foster parents to more than seventy-five children. Don is retired from the US Navy.
Chiumei has worked with our children and youth for more than two decades. She recently joined us in the nursery to care for the infants and toddlers (ages 0-4) that attend our Sunday services.
