6/14/23: More

Stewardship Response has been hugely generous from so many—to date, we have 55 RE-pledges, with 41 of those stretching 17% over last year’s pledge. And there are 18 new pledges. So there is much to celebrate. We are now at 87% of goal—in the home stretch. If you have not yet pledged, please consider it now. Your pledge tells us how much money we have for next year and it is really important for our search to have a fully funded budget year.

She and Susan Moen gave us a large amount of information. SART provides Care to victims, Education to our students, and Support of cultural change, such as the “You’ve Got Options” program with our APD. The statistics are staggering. Example: 1 in 4 women will be raped in their lifetime! Yikes. It isn’t about sex, but about power. My main takeaway is to believe the victim—she is chosen as someone who won’t be believed. And not all victims are female.
